1 3/4 c Sugar
2/3 c Shortening
2 Eggs
1 1/4 c Milk
1 1/2 ts Vanilla
3 c Cake flour
2 1/2 ts Baking powder
3/4 ts Salt

Cream sugar & shortening & add the eggs, beat 2 min. Add flour baking
powder & salt which have been blended to - gether alternately with the milk
and vanilla. Bake in greased layer cake pans in 350 oven 30 min.
