Title: Bran Candy

Yield: 6 Servings

2 c Brown sugar
1 c Sugar
1 c Milk
1/8 ts Baking soda
1 tb Butter or butter substitute
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Bran

Boil all ingredients except bran to soft ball stage (234 - 238 F). Cool to
room temperature. Add bran. If desired, 1/2 cup raisins, dates, or nuts
may be added. Beat until stiff enough to knead. Turn onto board dusted with
powdered sugar. Knead until smooth. Shape into a roll and slice. Margaret
