Title: Burnt Sugar Candy Categories: Candies, 1941, Chocolate Yield: 40 Servings 1 c Evaporated milk 1/2 Butter 3 c Sugar 1 ts Vanilla 3/4 c Nuts Mix milk, butter and 2 cups sugar in saucepan, heating to boiling point. Melt 1 cup sugar in saucepan stirring constantly. Cook to soft ball stage. Add vanilla and nuts; beat until very firm. Pour into buttered 9- inch square pan. Yield: 40 pieces.
