Title: Caribbean Pork Chops with Apple Island Sauce Categories: Broil, Outdoor gri, Pork Yield: 4 Servings 2/3 c Water 1/3 c Chopped onion 1/3 c Lemon juice 1 tb Vegetable oil 2 ts Light brown sugar 1 ts Chicken-flavor instant -bouillon 3/4 ts Ground allspice 3/4 ts Black pepper 3/4 ts Cinnamon 3/4 ts Thyme leaves 1/4 ts Cayenne pepper; to 1/2 tsp. 4 Boneless pork loin chops Combine all ingredients except meat. Place meat in shallow dish or plastic bag, Pour marinade over meat. Cover; marinate in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight. Remove meat from marinade; heat marinade. Grill or broil as desired, basting frequently with marinade. Serve with Apple Island Sauce. Refrigerate leftovers. APPLE ISLAND SAUCE: In small saucepan, combine 1-1/2 cups chunky applesauce, 1/2 cup water, 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
