Title: Carne Asada (Cooked Meat) Categories: Barbecue, Beef Yield: 1 Servings ----------------------------------MARINADE---------------------------------- 1 c Raw apple cider or applejack 1/4 c Lime juice 3 Cloves garlic; minced 1/2 ts Coarsely ground black pepper -----------------------------------STEAK----------------------------------- 1/2 ts Ground papaya seed 1 1-pound skirt steak For marinade, combine all ingredients. Sprinkle papaya seed over steak; Marinate for at least 4 hours, turning several times. barbecue over mesquite coals or broil to desired doneness. Slice steak against the grain. Serves 2 to 4.
