Title: Cheese-Date Biscuits Categories: Appetizers, To post Yield: 40 Servings -----------------------------------DOUGH----------------------------------- 1/2 c Butter Or Margarine 2 c N.Y. State Cheese (Sharp -Cheddar); grated 1 1/2 c Flour 1 ds Cayenne Pepper 1 ts Sugar ----------------------------------FILLING---------------------------------- 1 pk (8 Oz.) Dates; cut into -small pcs. 2 tb Water 1 tb Sugar FOR THE DOUGH: Mix first 3 ingredients thoroughly. Add cayenne pepper and sugar. Mix well. FOR THE FILLING: Mix these ingredients well and cook 3 minutes. TO ASSEMBLE: Roll cheese dough thinly; cut with biscuit cutter. Spread date mixture on each round; fold over and press edges to seal. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 40 biscuits.
