Title: Cheesecake Bars Categories: None Yield: 1 Servings 5 tb Margarine or butter; -softened 1/3 c Brown sugar 1 c Flour 1 1/4 c Finely chopped walnuts 1 pk (8 oz.) cream cheese; light -or regular 1/2 c Sugar 1 Egg 2 tb Milk 1 tb Lemon juice 1/2 ts Vanilla I made this last Saturday to take to a get together at church. It is very good and very rich. Every one liked them. I got it out of the "QUICK "n EASY" Home Cooking from April 1997 In a mixer bowl, cream together margarine and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in flour and nuts. Set aside 1 cup of this mixture. Press remaining mixture into bottom of ungreased 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla; beat well. Pour over baked layer in baking pan. Sprinkle reserved flour mixture over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Store, covered, in the refrigerator. Makes 2-3 dozen bars. I doubled the recipe. I will make them again for special occasions. Posted to TNT Recipes Digest by vaughndell@juno.com on Mar 17, 1998 |
