Title: Chicken and Barley Stew Categories: Chicken, Crockpot, Eat-lf mail, Low fat Yield: 6 Servings 1 c Pearl Barley 1/2 c Quinoa 1 Skinless Boneless Chicken -Breast; Bite-Sized Pcs 2 md Carrots; Chopped 2 Celery; Ribs 1/2 lg Purple Onions; Chopped 2 Cloves Garlic 1 ts Sage 1 ts Thyme 1 ts Poultry Seasoning 20 oz Nonfat Chicken Broth Water; To Cover And -Additional As Need I browned the chicken in a frying pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Put it and all the other ingredients into the crockpot. I put enough water in to cover everything and checked it every few hours so that it would not cook dry. Cooked it on low about 7 hrs. It was excellent!!
