Title: Chocolate Mint Breakfast Chews Categories: None Yield: 1 Servings 2 Squares; (1 ounce) semisweet -chocolate 1/2 c Butter; softened 1 c Sugar 2 Eggs; lightly beaten 1 ts Vanilla extract 3/4 c All-purpose flour 1 c Chopped walnuts 1/2 c Mint jelly Powdered sugar for garnish From: waterman@vt.edu (Betsey) Preheat the oven to 350. Melt the chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat . Set aside to cool. Cream the butter in a large mixing bowl. When smooth, add the sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, and melted chocolate. Stir well to combine. Gently fold in the walnuts. Pour the batter into an 8x11-inch nonstick baking pan. Spread the mint jelly evenly overtop, lightly pushing into the batter. Bake for 30 minutes.
