Title: Christmas Star Cookies Categories: None Yield: 1 Servings 1 c Shortening 1 c Plus 2 tblsp sugar 3 Eggs 1 1/2 ts Each lemon and vanila -extract 3 c Sifted flour 1/8 ts Salt 1 ts Cream of tartar 1 ts Baking soda Here's a nice Chrismasy recipe from Favorite Recipes of America. Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until smooth and creamy. Add eggs and flavorings; beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture. Set oven at 400 degrees. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on well-floured board. Cut into star shape with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Yield: 4 dozen cookies.
