Title: Cinnamon Raisin Cake

2 1/2 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar
3/4 c Brown sugar
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
3/4 ts Cinnamon
3/4 ts Allspice
1/2 ts Cloves
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1 1/3 c Buttermilk (or 3 tbs vinegar
-plus milk to fill)
1/2 c Shortening
3 Eggs
1 c Raisins
1 c Walnuts

-----------------------------BROWN BUTTER ICING-----------------------------
2/3 c Butter
1 lb Confectioners sugar
3 ts Vanilla
4 -(up to)
8 tb Hot water (to consistency)

Mix all cake ingredients. Bake at 350 deg. for 45 minutes.

Brown butter icing: Melt 2/3 cup butter until brown. Remove from heat and
stir in remaining ingredients.
