Title: Citrus Barbecue Sauce Categories: Sauces, Vegetables, Fruits, Mexican Yield: 5 Servings 1 Onion; Large, Finely Chopped 1 tb Ground Red Chiles 1/4 ts Ground Red Pepper 1 Ancho Chile; * 1 tb Vegetable Oil 1 c Orange Juice 1/2 c Lime Juice 2 tb Sugar 2 tb Lemon Juice 1 tb Fresh Cilantro; Snipped 1 ts Salt * Ancho chile should be seeded and finely chopped. ~------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cook onion, ground red chiles, red pepper and ancho chile in oil, stirring frequently, until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes about 2 1/3 cups of sauce.
