Title: Coney Sauce Categories: None Yield: 1 Servings 1/2 lb Ground beef 1/4 c Water 1/4 c Chopped onion 1 Clove garlic; minced (I use -more) 1 cn (8-oz) seasoned tomato sauce 1/2 ts Each chili powder; -monosodium glutamate (I -don't use) and salt I use the Coney Islands recipe from my copy of the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook that I received as a shower gift back in 1963. Brown ground beef slowly but thoroughly, breaking with a fork until fine. Add remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Makes sauce for 12 Coneys. Posted to EAT-L Digest by Sharon Ravert |
