Corn Chowder
Title: Corn Chowder Categories: None Yield: 1 Servings 1 cn Cream-style corn 1 cn Milk Freshly ground pepper to -taste Source: Wendy Baker's Mother, Celia Wisan a"s Type of Recipe: Soup- Kosher Dairy Method: Mix soup and milk in a saucepan and bring almost to a boil. Puor into bowls and add Pepper to taste. (without the pepper it is incredible flat, but might be enjoyed by kids.) There are all kinds of variations, like adding sauteed onions etc., but they all destroy the utter simplicity of the very good soup that beats many canned soups for flavor and salt content. It necessary, use no-salt-added corn and perhaps here a little onion powder to pick it up a bit. Posted to JEWISH-FOOD digest V96 #84 Date: Sun, 24 Nov 1996 12:59:49 -0500 (EST) From: "W. Baker" |
