2 1/4 t . yeast
2 1/2 C . bread
-flour
3/4 t . salt
1/4 C . sugar
2 T . butter
1/2 C . plus 1
-T. milk
1/2 t . vanilla
1 l arge egg
Crumb Topping:
1/2 C . flour
1/4 C . brown
-sugar
1 T . sugar
2 p inches
-cinnamon
1/4 C . butter
For Dusting:
Confectioner's sugar

BAKE: 350ø

Have all ingredients at room temperature. Add ingredients, except for
topping and conf. sugar, in the order specified. Set machine on
dough/manual setting. At end of cycle, punch dough down, press start and
let knead for 60 secs. Remove dough and let rest 5 mins.

Prepare topping: Combine all dry ingredients; mix well. Cut in butter
till pea-sized crumbs. Refrigerate till ready to use.

Place dough in a lightly buttered 9" square baking pan. Gently press dough
with fingertips to spread evenly. Cover with cloth and let rise till
doubled - 45 mins to 1 hour. Make light indentations with fingertips in
the surface of the risen dough. Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over. Bake
for approximately 30 mins or till crumbs are lightly browned and firm.
Remove from oven and cool on wire rack. When completely cooled, sprinkle
with confectioners' sugar.

Makes 9 pieces at 290/9
