Title: Cyn's Lentil Soup

Yield: 1 Servings

1 Bag dried lentils; rinsed &
-drained
1 c Each diced carrots; celery,
-onion
1 tb Minced garlic
6 tb (or maybe more) veggie broth
-powder
Thyme
Crushed cumin seed
Bay leaves
Pepper
1 cn (large) tomato paste
3 tb Garam masala; or more
Lots of water; (to cover, I
-kept adding)

Simmer for 1-2 hours, throw in a cup or so of rice. Add more water as rice
swells, and more seasoning to taste. Hot sauce is a good thing. Simmer
until rice is done. Eat and accept the awed compliments of non-cooks. :-)
