Deep Dark Chocolate Cookies
Title: Deep Dark Chocolate Cookies Categories: Cookies, To/from eat Yield: 24 Servings 3/4 c (1 1/2 sticks) butter or -margarine, softened 3/4 c Granulated sugar 1/2 c Packed light brown sugar 1 ts Vanilla extract 2 Eggs 1 3/4 c All-purpose flour 1/2 c Cocoa 3/4 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Baking powder 1/4 ts Salt 1 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 c Chopped nuts Heat oven to 375F. In large mixer bowl on medium speed of electric mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla 2 minutes or until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
