Title: Favorite Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

1 c Shortening
1 c Brown sugar; packed
1 c White sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Salt
1 ts Baking soda
3 c Oats; quick cooking

Mix, using usual method for cookies (cream shortening and sugars, and eggs,
mix, add dry ing.) Place on ungreased sheets, bake at 350 degrees 10-12
minutes. Here is my favorite recipe for chewy oatmeal cookies.
