Fresh Apple Cake
Title: Fresh Apple Cake Categories: None Yield: 1 Servings 2 c Flour 1/4 ts Salt 1 ts Baking powder 1 ts Soda 1/2 c Shortening 1 c Sugar 2 Eggs 1/4 c Milk, depending on amount of -liquid in apples (up to -1/2) 1 1/2 c Apples, ground in meat -grinder 1/4 c Nuts, chopped 1 ts Vanilla Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until creamy. Add apples. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, soda and add to mixture. Add nuts. Pour into 9" or 10" cake pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 350oF for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot. Note: The apples can be peeled or left with skins on before grinding.
