Title: Hearty Oat and Cornbread Categories: Main dishes, Side dishes Yield: 9 Servings 1 c Oats -- quick or old Fashion 1 c Cornmeal 1/2 c Flour, All-Purpose 1 tb Baking Powder 1/4 ts Salt -- optional 1 c Nonfat Milk 1/2 c Corn Kernels 2 tb Applesauce 2 Egg Beaters. 99% Egg Substitute -- or substitute 2 tb Onion -- finely chopped Heat oven to 425 deg F. Spray an 8 or 9" square baking pan with nonstick spray. In a med. bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients that have been combined in a small bowl; mix well. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Bake 20 - 25 min or until edges are lightly browned. Serve warm.
