Title: Honey-Ginger-Chili Chicken Categories: Main dish, Bbq, Poultry, Meats, Barry Yield: 6 Servings 3 tb Shortening 3 tb Butter or margarine 1/3 c All-purpose flour 3/4 ts Salt 1/2 ts Ground ginger 1/4 ts Pepper 3 lb Chicken 1/3 c Honey 1/3 c Chili sauce 1/3 c Soy sauce 1/2 ts Ground ginger Heat oven to 425F. Heat shortening and butter in baking pan, 13x9x2 inches, in oven until melted. Mix flour, salt, 1/2 teaspoon ginger and the pepper. Coat chicken pieces thoroughly with flour mixture. Place chicken skin sides down in pan. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Turn chicken; bake 15 minutes. Remove chicken. Drain fat; line pan with aluminum foil. Return chicken to pan. Mix honey, chili sauce and 1/2 teaspoon ginger; pour on chicken. Bake 15 minutes, spooning honey mixture onto chicken every five minutes. serve immediately or refrigerate and serve chilled. 6 servings.
