Title: Hungarian Soup with Beef Stew Categories: Soup Yield: 8 Servings 1 lb Beef stew meat; cut in 1-1/2 -inch cubes 1/2 lb Onions; sliced 6 c Beef broth 3 tb Tomato paste 3 tb Paprika Salt & pepper to taste 1 ds Garlic powder 3 tb Shortening 1 Green pepper; sliced Saute onions in shortening until tender. Brown beef; stir in remaining ingredients. Cover & simmer about 1-1/2 hours or until meat is tender. If soup is too thin, stir in 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water.
