Title: Lemon Basil Pasta Categories: Main dish, Pasta Yield: 4 Servings 1/2 lb Linguine or other favorite; -pasta 2 tb Melted margarine or butter 1 tb Fresh lemon juice 1 1/2 ts Basil leaves 3/4 ts Garlic salt 1/4 ts Black pepper 1/4 c Grated Parmesan cheese Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt in cooking water. Drain and return pasta to pan. In a small bowl, combine margarine, lemon juice, basil, garlic salt and pepper. Toss with cooked pasta. Sprinkle cheese over pasta and serve immediately. Main dish variation: Toss in 2 cups cooked, cubed chicken or 1 lb. cooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined, before adding cheese. Source: Kitchens of McCormick/Schilling. Formatted by Jane G.
