Title: Low-Calorie Spaghetti and Meatballs Categories: Pasta Yield: 5 Servings 1 pk (16-oz) spaghetti; cooked --------------------------------TOMATO SAUCE-------------------------------- 1/4 c Chopped onion 1 cn (16-oz) whole tomatoes; -undrained 2 ts Instant chicken bouillon 1/2 c Canned mushrooms; drained 1/4 ts Oregano Salt Pepper ---------------------------------MEAT BALLS--------------------------------- 1 lb Lean ground beef 1/4 c Chopped onion 1 Clove garlic; chopped 1/2 c Soft whole wheat bread -crumbs 2 tb Chopped parsley 1/2 ts Salt 1/2 ts Pepper Place onion in 1-1/2 quart casserole. Cover with plastic wrap or glass lid. Cook in microwave oven, covered, on FULL POWER for 2 to 3 minutes, or until onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients. Season with salt and pepper, as desired. Set aside. Combine all ingredients for meat balls. Make meat balls about 1 inch in diameter. Place in a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Cover with plastic wrap. Cook in microwave, covered, on FULL POWER for 5 to 6 minutes, or until meat is not longer pink. Turn meat balls over halfway through cooking time. Drain. Pour tomato sauce over meat balls.
