Maxwell House's Italian Meat Sauce


Title: Maxwell House's Italian Meat Sauce

1 Clove garlic; minced
2 tb Oil
1 cn Cambell's condensed tomato
-soup
1 1/2 c Brewed Maxwell House coffee
3 oz Can sliced mushrooms
1/2 c Chopped green pepper
Grated Parmesan cheese
1 md Onion; chopped
1 lb Ground beef
12 oz Tomato paste
1/2 ts Sugar
1/4 ts Basil or oregano
1 lb Hot; cooked spaghetti

Brown garlic and onion lightly in oil. Add meat and brown. Stir in soup,
tomato paste, coffee and sugar. Mix well and simmer 30 minutes. Add
mushrooms and basil and simmer 5 minutes longer. Serve over pasta and
sprinkle with cheese. Serves 6.
