Miriam's Apple Cake
Title: Miriam's Apple Cake Categories: ****, Apples, Cakes Yield: 16 Servings 1 c Margarine 1 1/2 c Sugar 3 lg Eggs 3 c Flour 1 1/2 ts Baking soda 1 pn Mace; optional 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Cinnamon 2 ts Vanilla 2 tb Whiskey, brandy, liqueur or -sweet wine 3 c Apples; peeled, cored, -chopped or shredded 1 c Walnuts; chopped, or pecans 1 c Chocolate chips Cream margarine and sugar till fluffy, beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add gradually. Fold in remaining ingredients. Spoon into a greased and floured 10" tube pan or 12"x17" rectangular pan. Bake at 350 about an hour or till done.
