Title: Mom's Double Chocolate Brownies Categories: 1, Brownies, Chocolate, Family Yield: 24 Servings 3/4 c Flour 1/4 ts Baking soda 1/4 ts Salt 1/3 c Butter 3/4 c Sugar 2 tb Water 2 c Chocolate chips; 1 -12 oz -pkg 1 ts Vanilla extract 2 lg Island eggs 1/2 c Macadamia nuts; chopped * * pecans or walnuts may be substituted Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Sift dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt) and set aside. In a large pot combine butter, sugar and water. Remove from heat just before it comes to a boil. Add half of the chips (1 cup) and the vanilla. Beat with a wooden spoon until chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each one. Blend in flour mixture about 1/3 cup at a time. Beat well. Finally mix in the remaining cup of chips and the chopped nuts. Spread in a 9x9x2 pan and bake 30-35 minutes.
