Title: Mom's Veggy Soup Categories: Soup Yield: 12 Servings 1 -(up to) 1 1/2 lb Stewmeat* Cabbage 1 pk Frozen BABY lima beans Pealed; diced potatoes Peeled; sliced carrots Corn 1 lg V-8 juice Water Black pepper to taste Onions Sweet peas Minced garlic ------------------------------SPICES TO TASTE------------------------------ Garlic Black Pepper Thyme Oregano Basil From: Kris Williams Date: Thu, 18 Jul 1996 16:29:49 -0500 Brown meat, onion, spices and salt(to taste) Add all other ingredients Simmer for 4-5 hours. Serve with buttered crackers As you can see, this is a very forgiving recipe. Add veggies to taste. My husband like green beans so I also add this. Only add a small amount of cabbage. Is for taste only. **I make stew meat by mixing Round steak and any other cheap cut of meat. Better the day after, the day after....... Freezes well in tupperware for about 6 mo.
