Title: Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Cookies Categories: Biscuits Yield: 5 Servings 1 c Flour (sifted) 1 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Cinnamon 1/4 ts Nutmeg 3/4 c Shortening 1 c Brown sugar 2 Eggs 1/3 c Milk 1 c Chocolate chips 3 c Rolled oats 1 c Walnuts (chopped) Sift first 5 ingredients (left to right) into bowl; add shortening, brown sugar, eggs and half the milk. Beat until smooth about 2 minutes; fold in remaining milk, chocolate chips, rolled oats and walnuts. Drop from teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet; bake in 375-degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
