Title: Pear Cookies Categories: Cookies, 1941 Yield: 6 Servings 1 c Brown sugar 2 Eggs, well beaten 2 1/4 c Flour 1/2 ts Mace 1/4 ts Salt 1/2 c Sour milk 3 ts Baking powder 1/4 ts Baking soda 1 c Dried pears 1/2 c Shortening Wash pears, remove cores, and chop. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and milk. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, baking soda, salt, and mace. Add pears. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (410 F) 12-15 minutes. 20 servings.
