Souffle Sandwich


Title: Souffle Sandwich

Yield: 4 Servings

8 sl Bread; crusts trimmed off
Chopped ham
4 sl Cheddar cheese
1 Egg
Salt and pepper to taste
2 c Milk

Butter bread on both sides. Make 4 sandwiches, using chopped ham and a
slice of cheese in each one. Mix egg, salt and pepper. Add milk. Fit
sandwiches into 8-inch square pan; pour milk and egg mixture over
sandwiches. Let soak for 2 hours, then turn each sandwich with spatula and
let stand 1-1/2 hours more. Bake at 400 for 45 minutes.
