Spaghetti Sauce


Title: Spaghetti Sauce

Yield: 4 Servings

1/2 c Onion slices
2 tb Olive oil
1 lb Ground beef
2 Garlic cloves; minced
2 lb Canned tomatoes; 4 cups
16 oz Canned tomato sauce; 2 cups
3 oz Canned mushrooms; 2/3 cup
1/4 c Parsley
1 1/2 ts Oregano
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Thyme
1 Bay leaf
1 c Water

In large skillet, cook onion in hot oil until almost tender. Add meat and
garlic; brown lightly. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered 2 to 2
1/2 hours or till sauce is thick; stir occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve
over hot spaghetti. Garnish with Parmesan cheese, if desired. NOTE: One
pound of spaghetti will serve 4 to 6 as a main dish with sauce.
