Title: Steph's Brown Rolls Categories: Bread Yield: 24 Servings 1 ts Sugar 1 c Warm water 1 tb Yeast 1 c Oatmeal 2 tb Oil 2 ts Salt 3/4 c Molasses 1 c Boiling water 1 c Cold water 6 -(up to) 6 1/2 c Of flour From: Marni Tuttle Date: Tue, 6 Dec 1994 23:06:49 GMT Dissolve 1 tsp sugar in cup warm water. Sprinkle 1 tbsp yeast on top. Mix in bowl: 1 cup oatmeal, 2 tbsp oil, 2 tsp salt, and 3/4 cup molasses. Add 1 cup boiling water and 1 cup cold water. With fork stir yeast, add to mixture. Add 6 to 6-1/2 cups of flour. Knead. Let rise to twice size. Punch down. Make into rolls. Dob with margarine on top. Let rise. Bake 350F for 15+ minutes.
