Title: Sugar Cookies #1 Categories: Cookie Yield: 1 Servings 1 c Soft butter 1 2/3 c Sugar 3 Eggs 3 ts Vanilla 3 1/2 c Sifted flour 2 1/2 ts Baking powder 3/4 ts Salt Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add to butter-sugar mixture. Roll balls of dough the size of walnuts. Place on well-greased cookie sheet. Using any object with a round, flat bottom about the size of the cookie you want, grease (Pam is good for this) the bottom, dip into granulated sugar, and press down on cookie ball until about 1/8 inch thick. Must be dipped in sugar each time. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
