Experiment with other ingredients, too. For example, I didn't have sweet pickles so used Kosher dills (ok but not as good, I thought). Also, I tried ff jack cheese but I think cheddar works better. Chopped green and/or red pepper could make salad interesting, too, and colorful. Add more or less ff mayo depending on how creamy you prefer.
