Title: Syrup Cookies Categories: Cookies Yield: 24 Servings 1/2 c Lard; melted 1/2 c Butter; melted 1 c Brown sugar 1 c White syrup 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Cinnamon 1/2 ts Nutmeg 1/2 ts Allspice 1 ts Ginger 5 c Flour; sifted 2 ts Soda water; DISSOLVED IN 2 tb Hot water Combine the melted shortening, sugar and syrup. Sift the salt and spices with the flour, and add alternately with the soda and water. Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours.
