1 lb Hamburger or ground turkey
1 pk Taco seasoning OR chili
-powder; garlic powder,
-onion powder; salt and
-pepper to taste
1 cn (16-oz) chili hot beans
Lettuce
Tomato (only if in season)
Your choice of any or all of
-the following: carrots;
-broccoli; cauliflower,
-onion
6 -(up to)
8 oz Shredded cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips (preferrably
-taco or nacho cheese
-flavored)
Poppy seed salad dressing

Brown the meat and drain. Add spices or prepare according to taco
seasoning package directions. Add chili beans and heat through. Cool
slightly. Tear up lettuce in a very large bowl and add rest of veggies. I
usually assemble the rest right before serving. Add meat/beans and cheese.
Toss. Pour on poppy seed dressing (using this makes a big difference in
taste). Add crushed tortilla chips last. Serve.
