Title: Taste of Home Taco Bake Categories: Beef, Main dishes Yield: 6 Servings 1 lb Ground beef 1 sm Onion; chopped 3/4 c Water 1 pk Taco seasoning; (1-1/4 oz.) 1 cn Tomato sauce; (15-oz.) 8 oz Shell macaroni; cooked and -drained 1 cn Chopped green chilies; -(4-oz.) 2 c Cheddar cheese; shredded In a skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium heat; drain. Add the water, taco seasoning and tomato sauce; mix. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in macaroni, chilies and 1-1/2 cups of cheese. Pour into a greased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 6 servings. It filled a 2 quart casserole plus a small (1- serving) casserole. Very good dinner--served it with Mixed Vegetable Salad.
