Treacle Pudding
Title: Treacle Pudding Categories: Desserts Yield: 4 Servings 1/4 lb Self-Raising Flour 1/4 lb Breadcrumbs 1/4 lb Shredded Suet 1/2 lb Golden Syrup 1 Grated Rind of Lemon 1 Egg Milk Sift the flour and mix it with the shredded suet, stir in the breadcrumbs and grated rind of the lemon. Whisk up the egg, warm the golden syrup, then whisk them together and stir them into the dry ingredients. Mix well, adding a little milk as required. Turn the mixture into a greased pudding basin, cover it with a greased paper and steam for about two hours.
