Title: Vegetarian Rice and Beans (Tabasco) Categories: Appetizers, *tabasco Yield: 6 Servings 4 c Water 2 Vegetable bouillon cubes or -2 teaspoons instant broth -granules 2 c Raw brown rice 1 cn Red kidney beans; rinsed and -drained 1 lg Onion; chopped 1 lg Green bell pepper; chopped 1 Jar Original or Spicy -TABASCO® 7 Spice Chili -Recipe; (16 ounces) 1 ts Ground cumin Put water and bouillon cubes in 4-quart heavy-gauge saucepan with lid. Bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in rice. Return to a boil; add remaining ingredients. Return mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low if cooking over campfire, move to side. Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
