Title: Zippy Cheese Biscuits Categories: S_living, Breads, Rolls, Dairy Yield: 1 Servings 2 c Self-rising flour 1/2 c Shortening 1/2 c (about 2 Ounces) shredded -cheddar cheese 3/4 c Plus 2 tb Milk 1/2 c Chopped pecans 1/4 To (up To ) 1/2 ts Red pepper Christmas. Combine flour and shortening; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add cheese, milk, pecans, and red pepper, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
