Title: Peach Ice Cream Categories: None Yield: 1 Servings 2 c Finely chopped peaches Yellow & red food coloring -(if desired) 1/4 c Sguar 1 cn (15 oz) (1 1/3 cups) -sweetened condensed milk 1 c Whipping cream, whipped 1/3 c Slivered toasted almonds Here are a few recipes I found in the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook, all with instructions for preparing without an ice cream maker. Plus a recipe for Spumoni. These should give you a good idea of the procedure, which can most likely in any recipe be adjusted for the commercial makers. To peaches, add sugar and 1/4 cup water; mash. Add 1 to 2 drops each yellow and red food coloring . Drain, reserving juice. Add water to juice to make 3/4 cup. Combine peaches, juice & milk; pour into refrigerator trays. Freeze until firm. Break into chunks. Beat fluffy with electric mixer. Fold in whipped cream and nuts. Return to trays. Freeze firm. Serves 8 to 10. Posted to TNT - Prodigy's Recipe Exchange Newsletter by NAFY67C@prodigy.com (DEBORAH EPSTEIN) on Mar 18, 1997 |
