Title: Garlic-Lover's Pasta Categories: Veg06 Yield: 4 servings 2 tb Olive oil 5 Garlic cloves; crushed 1 ts Dried basil 1/4 ts Salt 1/4 ts Black pepper 1/8 ts Crushed red pepper 1 28 ounce can italian-style -tomatoes; undrained and ; coarsely chopped 4 c Hot cooked linguine; (about -8 ounces ; uncooked pasta) 1/4 c Grated fresh parmesan -cheese; (1 ounce) Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add garlic; saut, 1 minute. Add basil, salt, peppers, and tomatoes; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until mixture starts to thicken. Serve over pasta; top with cheese. Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 cup pasta, 1/2 cup sauce, and 1 tablespoon cheese).
