Title: Treacle Pudding
Categories: 4qr
Yield: 1 servings

150 g Plain flour
1 ts Baking powder
2 1/2 tb Caster sugar
80 g Butter; melted
1/2 c Milk
1 Egg
1/2 c Treacle

1. Place sifted flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Add sugar and
butter and stir in with milk and lightly beaten egg. Mix to a soft dough.

2. Pour treacle into a well-buttered pudding bowl. Place dough over treacle
and cover with one circle of Glad Bake and one circle of foil, securing
with string.

3. Place pudding inside a large pot and pour in enough boiling water to
come halfway up the sides of the bowl. Place pot on heat and bring to the
boil, then reduce heat to a constant simmer, adding more boiling water if
necessary, for 1 1/2 hours.

4. To serve, remove pudding carefully from pot and discard paper and foil.
Unmould onto a serving plate and accompany with custard.
