Title: Turkey Burgers Categories: Sainsbury4, Sainsbury's Yield: 8 servings 500 g Turkey mince; (1lb) 1 lg Onion; chopped 50 g Chopped mixed nuts; -(optional) (2oz) 125 g Fresh breadcrumbs; (4oz) 1 ts Dried mixed herbs Salt and freshly ground -black pepper 2 Medium-sized eggs; beaten ----------------------------------TO COAT---------------------------------- 50 g Plain flour; (2oz) 1 Medium-sized egg; beaten 125 g Fresh breadcrumbs; (4oz) Oil for shallow frying 1. Place the burger ingredients in a bowl and mix well. 2. Shape into eight 8cm (3 inch) rounds, 1 cm (1/2inch) thick. 3. Coat the burgers with the flour. 4. Dip into the beaten egg and then coat with the breadcrumbs. 5. Chill in a refrigerator for 10 minutes. 6. Shallow fry the burgers in hot oil for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown. Serve immediately in a burger bun filled with salad and relish. Serve with french fries.
