Yield: 8 Servings

1 lg Onion; chopped
1/4 lb Butter or margarine
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 c Raw rice
2 cn Consomme
1 Soup can water
1 pk Slivered almonds; optional

Saute onion with butter & almonds. Do not let almonds get too brown. Add
rice, salt, consomme & water. Pour into 2-quart casserole dish & bake in
preheated oven at 350 for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until done. Cover dish for
the first 20 minutes. Serves 8-10.
