Title: Batter for Fish

Yield: 4 Servings
1 c Ice Water
1/2 ts Yellow Food Coloring;
2 tb Corn Oil
1 ts Salt
1 c Flour
1 ts Baking Powder
Combine water, food coloring, oil and salt. Gradually add flour, stirring
rapidly with a whisk. Just before using, stir in baking powder. Dip fish
fillets in batter and deep fry. This makes a very thick, crispy batter. The
food coloring gives it a golden color.
Serving Ideas : Homemade French Fries
NOTES : I last made this in the summer of 1993. I served it with homemade
French fries and passed a bottle of malt vinegar.
